Financial Coordinator

My role at McDermott Orthodontics is to be your financial liaison! The coordination of your benefits and finances should be effortless, from insurance to patient accounts. I am eager to assist you in any way that I can so you feel comfortable with your options and informed about your choices.

I have an awesome husband, Brian, as well as two kids, Parker and Preston. In my off time, I enjoy watching Parker play soccer and basketball and watching Preston ride horses. We also have a crazy dog named Obi!

Chairside Assistant

I’ve been a chairside orthodontic assistant since I was 19 years old—right out of high school! It’s been more than 20 years now, and I’ve loved every day of it. The best part, especially in orthodontics, is getting to watch all the smiles changing! We see our patients so often that we all develop a personal relationship with them, and I think that’s awesome! Everyone here loves what we do—improving lives by improving smiles!

I’m happily married with three children, one boy and two girls. We also have a chocolate lab named Coco. We girls love shopping, and as a family, we love to camp, fish, and hang out in the river or lake in the summer!

 

I have been in the dental field for more than 35 years. I spent the first ten years of my career in general dentistry before shifting to orthodontics and have been smiling ever since! Working with the team at McDermott Orthodontics is like being part of a big family – Dr. McDermott is an amazing doctor, and we genuinely enjoy each other's company. We have a good time, take care of each other, and are excited to create beautiful smiles.

Outside of work, I've been happily married for 32 years. We have a beautiful daughter and son-in-law, and recently became grandparents to a sweet baby boy. I enjoy shopping for antiques and reading in my free time.

I have been working in the orthodontic field since 2006. I work on patients and assist the doctor to help create beautiful smiles. The best part of my job is creating those smiles with a positive and exciting orthodontic experience.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending my time outdoors with my two boys Dillon and Carson!

As a dental assistant, I find it incredibly fulfilling to witness the transformations in each patient's smile. It's rewarding to know that our work contributes to creating amazing smiles for everyone we serve. The team at McDermott Orthodontics is like a second family – we share laughs, support each other both at work and outside the office, and manage to keep each other smiling throughout the day.

Outside of work, I'm a single mom to an amazing young man and a sweet fur baby. Summer is my favorite season, and you'll often find me relaxing in my backyard oasis or enjoying my pool. I'm a passionate sports fan, cheering on our St. Louis Cardinals, the Blues, the Chiefs, and actively participating in the guest service team for our new St. Louis City soccer club.

Scheduling Coordinator

As the scheduling coordinator at McDermott Orthodontics, every day brings a new opportunity for learning, whether it's about my coworkers, patients, or treatment. Working with Dr. McDermott is a genuine pleasure – he's created a welcoming and supportive environment that makes our team feel like family. I'm grateful to be part of such a supportive team.

In addition to my role at the practice, I'm an active veteran for the United States Army. During my free time, it is often spent with my boyfriend, close friends, family and my beloved English bulldog, Harper. When I'm not at the practice, I enjoy exploring the city. You may find me at a sporting event or The Fabulous Fox!

Having spent 30 years as a dental assistant, I recently joined the fantastic team at McDermott Orthodontics. It's been a joy meeting new people and working alongside fun and supportive co-workers who have been incredibly helpful during my time here. I'm grateful for the warm welcome and camaraderie I've found in this team.

Outside of the office, I've been happily married for 30 years, and together with my family, we enjoy activities like camping, boating, and coaching wrestling. Family is at the heart of everything I do!

Scheduling Coordinator

With experience as an orthodontic assistant, oral surgeon’s assistant, general dentist assistant, and scheduling coordinator, I bring a diverse skill set to the team at McDermott Orthodontics. Working with this group has been a pleasure; they are some of the kindest and most caring people I've had the privilege to know.

Currently living with the love of my life, Trent, we are proud parents to three cats, Pretzel, Jax, and Baymax, as well as a dog named Monty. My downtime is filled with crafting, hunting for new tumbler cups, attending car events with Trent, and simply enjoying moments with friends and family. Despite my caffeine addiction, I still find a way to complain about being tired – a never-ending struggle!

Office Manager/Treatment Coordinator

I am responsible for the day-to-day successful operation of our practice. I make sure that patients are informed and have a pleasant experience while in our office and I also make sure our staff has a safe and pleasant place to do what they love to do. However, the best part of my job is watching our patients become more confident as they develop the smile that they desire. Being a part of the McDermott Orthodontics team makes me feel as if I am making a genuine difference in people’s lives. 

When I’m not at work you can find me curled up in a chair reading a good book or at the gym. I love being outside when the weather is nice. The beach or my pool is my happy place. I also love spending time with my family when I can get them to slow down for a minute!

Expanded Functions Orthodontic Assistant

My job as an orthodontic assistant is to provide the highest quality care to the very best of my knowledge for every patient. Having been in the dental field for more than 25 years, I’ve always appreciated having the opportunity to constantly learn and grow. I'm exposed to new challenges regularly, which helps me develop both professionally and personally. I love being a part of creating beautiful smiles and watching the transformations of each patient.

My husband Eric and I have been married for 25 years. We have an amazing son Braxton, as well as our fur baby puggle named Zipper. In our free time, we love to hang out at Mark Twain Lake, where we enjoy fishing, boating, hanging out by the campfire, knee boarding, tubing, playing around on the side by sides, star gazing, and having good old fashioned country fun with friends and family. I also own a chocolate business, which keeps me very busy on my days off work!

I have been in the orthodontic field for 23 years, and while I’m new to McDermott Orthodontics, I’m so excited to get to know our family of patients. I think the best part of working here for me is seeing the transformations that happen at the end of treatment. It’s rewarding to be part of people’s journeys to a new and amazing smile!

My life at home is kept busy with four amazing kids and two cats. I love the summertime, traveling, and going to concerts. I'm also a huge football fan!
